The death occurred in a private hospital in Orange this week of Mr. Robert Gustavus Glasson of Tremearne Orange at the age of 83 years.

Born in Cornwall, England the late Mr. Glasson came to Australia with his parents when quite a small boy, and settled in the Blayney District where the name has since been associated with pastoral activities.

The deceased was a surveyor by profession, practiced in the Monaro district for a number of years where he met and married Miss Dolly O’Hare of Corrowong Station, and shortly afterwards came to the orange District. Having purchased the Davy’s Plains property at Cudal as well as the Euroka Station near Greenfell. Later he acquired the Tremearne Property near Lucknow remaining there until his death. His wife predeceased him on the 1st August 1941 and he is survived by five daughters and one son.

Mr. John Glasson of Stanfield Carcoar is a brother and the only sister is Mrs. Bessie Clarke of New Zealand.

The funeral took place to the Church of England portion of the Orange cemetery.

He arrived in Australia on the vessel Sussex in 1861.
