Lilydale Express October 25, 1918 p3: Seville. A welcome home was tendered to Private T. Priest on Tuesday evening. The hall was tastefully decorated, flags of the Allies being a prominent feature. During an interval in the programme Cr. J. Rouget, on behalf of the large assemblage, gave Pt. Priest a very warm welcome. The guest of the evening who was accorded a great reception, feelingly responded.
In 1922 a Mrs A. Dyer picked up his medals for him. Thomas was living at Seville. Thomas died on June 12, 1939 and is buried at Lilydale Lawn Cemetery. His wife Ruby Jane was also buried there in 1969.
